‘Talk to Me’ is the name of my new exhibition which opens at the Caversham Picture Framer on Wednesday 1st October 2025 and runs until 9th November. This is so exciting! The work has been unfolding since early Spring and I’m really looking forward to seeing it all together.  I will be travelling down from Scotland for a special event with music, wine and cheese, to be held in the gallery on Sat 18th October. This starts at 5.30pm and I’ll be giving a short talk at 6.30 about how this body of work was created, starting from a point when I was empty, how I found my way back into creative flow through a magical connection with nature and what the process taught me.  I’d be delighted to see you there  – please rsvp here.

The work is all online and you can have a wee look at the collection ahead of the event here.

‘Offerng to a Pink Moon’ – one of the paintings in the exhibition

Some of you may be wondering what my connection with the Caversham gallery might be. Well, my brother Denis (who lives down south) took some of my work there to be framed a few years ago. These four paintings below were part of my ‘Flourish’ exhibition and I was very pleased to see them looking so smartly framed and displayed. Great job Alex and Lydia at the Caversham! One thing leads to another and not long after there was an invitation initially to send a consignment of work to them and then later to exhibit with them. I was over the moon – the promise of an exhibition is a great way to develop your work!

Paintings framed by the Caversham Framer – titled from left to right ‘February’, ‘March’, ‘April’ and ‘May’.

Family photo at my brother’s place – Denis in the blue jeans, me in orange.

I will share a little more about the work in my next post but for now I’ll sign off with another one of my new paintings: ‘Equinox’.

Thanks for reading 🙂
